Popularity of Super Star Rajinikanth

Super Star Rajinikanth is considered as the most famous Indian film actor of his time by the media and his popularity with the common man is unmatched. The Super Star's uniquely styled dialogues and idiosyncrasies in films, as well as his political statements and philanthropy has been attributed to his popularity. Rajinikanth's films have  punchlines delivered by him in an inimitable style, and these punchlines often have a message or even to warn the film's antagonists, but do not fail to create a sense of entertainment among viewers. It is often of the understanding that some popular actors who worked with Super Star Rajinikanth earlier in their careers were recognised because of their association with him. Fellow actors even commented and wanted the Super Star to enter politics as Rajinikanth has the potential to be successful due to his popularity and fan base alone. The success of "Muthu" one of his films made even Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh acknowledged the success of it during a visit to Japan in 2006. Another movie Chandramukhi of the Super Star's has been noted for being the longest running Tamil film in India, which played for over 800 days. His other film "Sivaji" has made a name for bein one of the largest releases for an Indian film in the world, the film entered the list of top ten films of the United Kingdom upon release. Rajinikanth is the only Indian actor who has become a chapter in the lesson for the Indian CBSE syllabus titled 'From Bus Conductor to Superstar' under the category Dignity of Work.
